Are you a project team member, project manager, program manager or functional manager? Whether you are involved directly or indirectly with projects, you will benefit by attending the class. Problems in the workplace are inevitable, and without identifying their underlying causes, it’s not possible to fix them. Participants will gain insight into how to improve the performance of their projects through the use of basic project management tools and techniques. Course materials are designed to be consistent with the concepts and terminology in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Attendees will learn how to identify, examine, assess, prioritize, and manage project constraints. The commonly recognized “big three” project constraints are the budget, schedule and scope. In this interactive course, a variety of constraints will be discussed including the type of technology or equipment used on the project, lack of stakeholder commitment and support, resources, company culture, unrealistic expectations of project deliverables, risks, and poor communications.
